Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Invictus Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, LLC in an Out-of-Network provider, meaning we do not directly accept or bill medical insurance, and payment is due at the time of service. This allows us to operate outside of the confines of insurance limitations. Insurance often restricts services to a specific injured body part or region rather than treating the person as a whole. Insurance also undervalues the importance of prevention and high-level performance as these services are typically not covered by most policies. At Invictus, your treatment is 100% tailored to meet your needs,, and we focus on training you to independently manage your condition rather than being dependent on frequent, unnecessary follow-up appointments.

Often, insurance will reimburse for payments made to out-of-network PT clinics. We recommend you contact them to see if you are eligible for reimbursement. We will provide you with  a detailed invoice (called a Superbill) at your request for you to file with your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.*

You can receive more information regarding your out-of-network physical therapy and medical nutrition therapy benefits by calling the number on the back of your insurance card and inquiring about your out-of-network benefits.

  • To be perfectly blunt, the healthcare insurance industry as it relates to rehabilitation is broken. Reimbursement rates for our services continue to go down each year despite your insurance premiums increasing. PT clinics that accept insurance are pressured to have patients come to therapy multiple times per week to cover their operating costs, often performing exercises and passive treatments that you can do on your own at home. Because we are not restricted by low reimbursement rates for our services, we can provide 1-on-1 service that is tailored to your needs.

This model often results in fewer required visits for recovery and fewer out-of-pocket expenses for you overall when considering the high copays and high deductibles common with most insurance plans today.
