Heidi Horn, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN has a passion for wellness, nutrition, longevity and how it relates to sports performance. Heidi is skilled and dedicated to helping individuals achieve a healthy sustainable lifestyle. She enjoys helping clients achieve maximum performance while also working with post injury patients in the road to recovery with a nutritional science strategy to speed recovery. Heidi uses an individualized, effective approach to help you maximize your results.
Heidi earned a bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY, as well as a master’s degree in Community Nutrition from Eastern Kentucky University. Heidi is a Board-Certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and holds a Certification in Adult Weight Management.
Heidi started her career in 2005 as a Registered Dietitian working with international logistic companies in corporate wellness, while also volunteering for high school track and field athletes teaching them how to maximize performance. In 2009, Heidi’s patriotism led her to switch career paths and she began working with the United States Military. She has worked for the United States Air Force, Marine Corps Special Operations Command, Army Special Operations Command, and the Air Force Special Operations Command.
Heidi has had the unique experience working overseas in the American Hospital in Landstuhl, Germany treating military members medically evacuated off the battlefield. Heidi’s passion for tactical operations was fortified while performing these duties overseas. She knows firsthand the effectiveness of smart nutrition on athletic and tactical performance.
Heidi has consulted with professional athletes providing nutritional strategies for optimal fueling and performance. Her personal accolades include receiving the One KBR Award in 2021 for going above and beyond her duties and making significant contributions to the Air Force Special Operations Community.
Heidi grew up on a cattle ranch in Dayton, Ohio. She is married to a Special Operations Pilot, with whom she has a young son and daughter. Heidi enjoys health and wellness and has been around athletics her entire life. She is an avid runner and has competed in endurance events around the world.
